NFPA 15 — Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection

HSE training course for contractors - Be Safe Ltd
NFPA 15 training — Be Safe Ltd instructor-led course

This NFPA 15 training course covers water spray fixed systems for fire protection — the systems that protect transformers, pressure vessels, LPG spheres, conveyors and loading racks across Saudi industrial and energy facilities. You will move from system objectives and components to design density, hydraulic calculations, detection and actuation, and acceptance testing, then apply it in a workshop on real hazard types.

Format and certificate

Delivered by Be Safe instructors as live online sessions or in-house at your facility, for individuals and company teams. Successful participants receive a Be Safe certificate of training completion for 12 hours, with a unique certificate ID and QR code that employers and clients can check on our certificate verification page.

The course is built around the current edition of NFPA® 15 as adopted for your project; participants should use their own copy of the standard from NFPA.

Frequently asked questions

Is this an official NFPA certification?

No. It is an independent Be Safe training course. You receive a verifiable Be Safe certificate of training completion, not a certification issued by NFPA.

Who should attend the NFPA 15 training?

Fire protection design and installation contractors; Oil, gas, petrochemical and utility engineers; Plan reviewers and inspectors; Commissioning engineers.

How long is the course and how is it delivered?

12 hours of instruction across 12 modules, delivered live online or in-house at your facility. Sessions can be scheduled to suit shift patterns for company teams.

Are there any prerequisites?

A background in fire protection design, installation or inspection is recommended.

Where are water spray systems used?

Typically on transformers, pressure vessels and LPG spheres, conveyors, cable trays and loading racks — hazards where water must be applied directly to a surface or equipment rather than from overhead sprinklers.

Does the course include hydraulic calculations?

Yes. You will read and check water spray hydraulic calculations, including design density, wetted surface area and nozzle selection, in a workshop on typical industrial hazards.

How can employers check my certificate?

Every certificate has a unique ID and a QR code. Anyone can scan the code or enter the ID on our certificate verification page to confirm the holder, the course and the completion date.

Can you deliver it to our whole team?

Yes. We run the course live online for teams across sites, or in-house at your facility, and can focus the case studies on your own systems and projects.

How do I enrol and what does it cost?

Contact us or message us on WhatsApp and we will confirm the next cohort dates and the price for individuals or groups.
